It appears the reporter opted to take the low numbers to arrive at the "nearly one in ten" when it could (using the same margin of error) be read as "nearly 95% of Alberta men feel physically assaulting a woman is unacceptable".

There's not much interest or ratings in a news story that says "Study proves vast, vast majority of adult males aren't vile, evil, bullying bastards". MSM = strictly for attention/cash/spreading fear.
