Keeping a rifle in one's belt would be quite a trick
However, in the spirit of the bleeding heart liberalists that insist on ruining the justice system up here, I'm sure there's somebody he can sue for being injured while fleeing the scene of the crime.
I remember a few months back or so back hearing a news story from London bout some shmuck running from the police. Apparently he turned his head to see how close they were getting and in the process ran smack into a light pole.
At that point, I turned to my wife and said, "You just somebody will take up his cause and sue the city for not providing him a safe environment in which to flee the police."
As ridiculous as that sounds, it's pretty close to the mark, the way criminals suddenly get treated like victims when they get hurt in the course of a crime.
