Truth being the first casualty of war has taken a decidedly different turn with growing outrage in both the political and military community about Defence Minister Harjit Sajjan's characterization of himself as the architect of Operation Medusa.

Give it 2 years, he'll be calling himself the Field Marschall.

Lieberals just can't stop lying. Ever.

He was a reserve officer they say.

Sounds like he functioned more as some sort of diplomat pandering to the odd warlord or pumped up Afghani official fighting for baubles after the Taliban were scared off. He'd pick up scraps of something like intel then when he was bootlicking at the heels of the Canadian officer elite gathered around the cocktail bar in the Governor's palace he'd tell them stories.

But yeah, when I first started hearing about the guy, the CBC and others were leading us to believe this guy had pretty much won the war in Afghanistan singled handed so weren't Justin and Gerald clever to put him in charge of national defence.

This reaction speaks volumes about what the Military thinks of our current MND.

It spoke volumes on Friday when Vance was asked about the controversy and declined to answer, choosing instead to go on answering questions about the politically toxic issue of sexual misconduct in the military.

The one topic that's even more repugnant than stolen valour.
