I wonder if the companies/banks keeping donations from Wikileaks will keep the money or return it to the donator.

Mr_Canada Mr_Canada:
I hope they don't plan to return it, cause I donated every last cent that was still in my PayPal account and then closed it

I would hope that they do. It's not theirs. If they aren't going to do the job they were paid to do and transfer the money to Wikileaks, they least they can do is return the millions of dollars (and fees) to the people that dug deep.

Mr_Canada Mr_Canada:
Well if it's an either or option and they completely refuse to follow through with what the donators wanted then yes, give the money back.

A lot of people closed their accounts to PayPal after doing the same thing I did though so I don't know what will happen to that money.

That's why I'm waiting to see. What happens to it will tell me a lot about the motives the companies had behind blocking the donations.

I already suspect, but time will tell.

I too stopped using Paypal long ago, long before the Wikileaks thing. I saw they were a predatory company in their practices long ago. But other companies suspended the Wikileaks accounts too, so a little more info is always welcome.

If I was a betting man, I'd bet the fucking farm they'll keep it.

If you can't trust what governments or the media tell you . . . who is left to tell us the truth?

Me too. I think they feigned outrage at (useless)secrets being leaked, and saw it as an opportunity to expropriate millions of dollars that no one will complain about losing. Not a government out there is going to investigate it either.
