First, he did not "mishandle" it, other than he failed the "DO NOT TOUCH"-rule. Apparently, it went off by accident.
No gun in the history of the world ever went off 'by accident'.
Someone loaded it.
Someone chambered it.
Someone took the safety off.
Someone then cocked it.
And then they did something to pull the trigger.
It may have been irresponsible or malicious, but it was not and it is never accidental.
Parent did. No law against it.

There is no use to explain to an 8 year old how to use a condom. They have NO clue what you are talking about anyway.
Yet sex ed advocates want it taught to six year olds.
http://www.education.com/reference/arti ... Place_1st/And where you come from it starts at age
five.
http://www.rnw.nl/english/video/sex-edu ... irst-gradeThere is a difference between telling kids the difference between boys and girls (which they probably have found out by then anyway) and the technicalities of having sex, using condoms and what menstruation means.
It DOES NOT START at age 5, the opportunity is there. Montessori schools are known for "letting the kids do whatever the hell they please" anyway, posing as "letting the individual strengths come out". Not every school is a Montessori school, thank god.

Hell, child protective services would be at your doorstep because that would be considered "inappropriate" and "bad parenting" because kids should be left "innocent". That's the reason why swear words and sex scenes are edited... IJS.
But it's okay if the teacher shows it to your five year old.

I have to meet the first teacher showing a 5 year old how to use a condom.
