Brenda Brenda: Yeah, but guess what. Having sex is still illegal when you are under 14. This kid was 8. Nice one. So teaching sex ed to kids under 14 is pointless? Of course not. Neither is teaching gun safety to kids who are too young to own a gun. Especially when such training primarily consists of teaching the kids not to touch a gun if they find one and then to go tell an adult about it.

Only in America does a "well regulated militia" mean free of regulation of any kind whatsoever. I'm sure the NRA will show up to Troll the state of Washington if they make even the smallest of moves to prevent this from happening again.

andyt andyt: Gunnair Gunnair: This is a US issue killing off or wounding US kids. Not our part ship on how they run their country and frankly spouting off on it only invites their unwelcome comments on how we run our show. Roll your eyes like an idiot all you want but don't complain when our American cousins invade threads and tell us how we should run our country.

This is the USA people... so it's the girl's fault, if she'd been armed, she could have defended herself.

Under your logic Bart, kids would spend every day running to adults to report a firearm left lying around, because that's what it takes for the adults to be safe in their homes, leave them lying around.
"Daddy, daddy, there's a gun in the kitchen." "I know son, just in case the bad guys try to come in the back door." "Daddy Daddy, there's a gun in the rec room." "I know son, just in case they come in while we're watching TV." "Daddy daddy, there's a gun in the front hall" "I know son, just in case I have to blow away the Fex Ex guy." "Daddy daddy, there's a 50 cal machine gun in the attic" "I know son, just in case those masturbating, Mao reading, OWS guys get really out of control." "Dadddy Daddy, why are you pointing a gun at me?" "Whats that red book I caught you with in the bathroom, son?"

BartSimpson BartSimpson: Brenda Brenda: The kid is 8 years old Bart. So what? He's not too young to learn firearms safety since he was obviously not too young to mishandle a gun. I know you're focused on the gun but all I see is a kid that would have done something else wrong if it were not this first. First, he did not "mishandle" it, other than he failed the "DO NOT TOUCH"-rule. Apparently, it went off by accident. Secondly, if it would have been on some kind of safety lock, THAT would not have happened. Fucking PILL BOTTLES and cleaning stuff have child safe lids. But a gun should just be able to go off in childrens hands. Ok. $1: So teaching sex ed to kids under 14 is pointless? Of course not. Neither is teaching gun safety to kids who are too young to own a gun. There is no use to explain to an 8 year old how to use a condom. They have NO clue what you are talking about anyway. Hell, child protective services would be at your doorstep because that would be considered "inappropriate" and "bad parenting" because kids should be left "innocent". That's the reason why swear words and sex scenes are edited... IJS.

"You mean if I put this on I can stick by willie in a girl and she'll let me?" Only thing is, it would keep falling off.

Ah well, if the little girl dies it'll be a small price to pay to ensure that fat middle-aged white guys wearing "Don't Tread On Me" t-shirts can openly carry a loaded weapon to a rally where President Obama is speaking. Or to teach the local lefty Congresswoman holding a public meet-and-greet in the mall parking lot an overdue lesson. Or to make sure that King George doesn't try to float another navy up the Hudson. Or some other reason like that. Gotta keep our priorities straight here, people!

Almost the exact same thing happened in a Saskatoon school just a few weeks ago. The boy was 11 and when the handgun went off by luck, nobody was injured. I am using an I-phone and still don't know how to make a citation but if you google Saskatoon school shooting it comes up. Boy's father was charged.

No matter how you spin it, kids ( and if you ask me most adults aswell ) have no bussiness with guns. You have to be totally out of your noodle trying to spin this any other way. Bart has said some weird had outrageous things in the past but this one takes the cake ! Trying to blame a 8 yr old, jeez what next ? You guys can't trust entire nations with weapons yet it the kids fault here ...where is my face palm smiley when I need it !

Brenda Brenda: First, he did not "mishandle" it, other than he failed the "DO NOT TOUCH"-rule. Apparently, it went off by accident. No gun in the history of the world ever went off 'by accident'. Someone loaded it. Someone chambered it. Someone took the safety off. Someone then cocked it. And then they did something to pull the trigger. It may have been irresponsible or malicious, but it was not and it is never accidental. Brenda Brenda: There is no use to explain to an 8 year old how to use a condom. They have NO clue what you are talking about anyway. Yet sex ed advocates want it taught to six year olds. http://www.education.com/reference/arti ... That was a fit, young, black man, by the way and he was wearing a white shirt and a tie. http://roomfordebate.blogs.nytimes.com/ ... un-rights/
