1) only state governors can order the National Guard onto the streets to quell rioting or insurrection, a POTUS can't; POTUS can only call up the NG in the face of an external threat or to deploy them in an overseas war
2) the dumb-fuck invoked the Insurrection Act of 1807, which was superceded by the Posse Commitatus Act of 1878, which prohibits the federal government from deploying official US military personnel inside the United States to act as police against US citizens; ironically Posse Commitatus was brought in to stop the feds from using troops to enforce early attempts at school integration in the defeated Confederate states ten years or so after the Civil War ended

You're under the assumption that Trump cares about the law and the Constitution. He doesn't. His AG doesn't. Until judges, generals, governors and people with real authority stand up to him, Trump will keep going until he is stopped.

Also, Congress is supposed to have the authority to use the powers of the Insurrection Act, not the president.

Sadly agree. I can only hope there's a real patriot, loyal to the country and not to it's self-declared king, who's ready to do the right thing and impose the only solution to stopping him. A cop, a Secret Service agent, a military staffer, one of the White House workers, whoever.

We all know now, without any credible argument against it, what needs to be done. There is no choice anymore. Trump leaves, either walking out in handcuffs or dragged out of the room feet first, for the United States to survive as a liberty-based republican democracy. He is a country-killer, and a civilization-killer as well. Either he is stopped or the US is lost. Fuck, the results of the Civil War have already been overturned by him. Is anyone going to act or are they just going stand there going derp-derp as he overturns the results of World War Two as well?

I'll call it now. There'll be no election in November. He and his orcs won't allow it to happen.
