I'd move to Newfoundland. Only place in Canada where the economy has adapted to let you live on EI. I know a guy I used to work with in Fort Mac who lives there. His new job is hunting (herding?) icebergs. I try not to judge.

This is one of the main reasons I'm not running back to Alberta because Kenney is now Premier. Unless something drastically changes the Alberta we all knew is gone and I'm still an Albertan refugee hiding out in God's Country via North Vancouver. I do look forward to Kenney sticking it to Horgan over the Pipeline, turn off the taps I will survive.

The tinder's been piling up for a long time, and not just under Justin Trudeau's reign of regional bickering. It's long overdue to finally catch fire. If Canada had even once over the last thirty-five years taken any of these disputes seriously then the situation wouldn't be anywhere grim as it now is. No one to blame but ourselves and the usual complacency that's become one of the hallmarks of the Canadian character.
