Actually the concept of hospitals was started by the militant cruasaders called the Order of St John. They ministerred to lepers. Their symbol was the Maltese Cross. This was adopted by the teutonic knights the conquerers of the pagan aboriginals of Prussia. This became the Iron Cross of Germany.

They were filled with the spirit and contracted leprocy frequently. Baldwin, the Crusader King was a leper (see kingdom of Heaven).

It might not be a religion, but for some reason the whole Toronto, save the earth training scenario reminded me of something.

The talk about tropical diseases migrating north has been around for many years, long before global warming ever became an issue. What she's saying is true to a point but I don't think it should be completely linked to GW. I'm not surprised it is being linked though, might as well throw that one in with the rest of the disastrous things that are being caused by GW even though there is little to no substantial proof to back the claims up. It's sad to see how science has been high jacked by the GW nuts and their agenda. Since when did we stop looking at things objectively and simply subscribe to this "one cause behind every problem" ideal. Just think of all the real solutions for some of these problems that are being over looked just because it's easier to blame them on GW then it is to actually do some research and find the true causes.
