Bands are usually isolated from help, it set a precedence to get gangs out of those rural areas and into places the police can rapidly reach. The police would have to deal with them eventually, at least this way they don't have to drive 30 minutes to respond to a gang shooting.

Because despite the frequent idiocy of bands this one at least is doing something, and removing them from the band means the police can go full force on the gangs without having to listen to more natives bitching about the police and government.

I was raised in a town with a reserve a few Kms away, if something was stolen it was either one of ~5 locals or more frequently, the natives. I currently live in a city where my car has been broken into three times and stolen twice, once found right near an urban reserve and another time was taken to Prince Albert, the urban reserve is known by police as a crime area and is regularly patrolled and checked by the police. Far easier to watch the extra natives that will flock to crime prone areas than to drive out to the reserve and patrol it frequently as well.

And all this teaches the natives - these nations - is that transportation is the answer to their problems. Transportation to the ROK and the taxpayers that pick up the tab.

I might buy into this if the reserve payed for the costs of policing and processing these guys each and every time they were picked up outside of their territory.

We already pick up the cost, every time you pay the insurance on your car some of it goes to partially compensating people for the damage that native gangs are able to do while hiding behind the security of their band. I have had to collect on insurance three times in under 1.5 years, if it is stolen again I lose the car and get $2000 to buy a car that is a fraction the quality of my current one.
