A bit extreme but what good fun!!
I golfed The Blue Monster at Doral two years ago and got set up to play with a group of 3 friends to complete the tee time. They were high school friends who stayed in touch although they lived all over the place. Originally from Utah, one guy was living in Sao Paulo, Brazil, another in Washington DC and the other in Salt Lake City. All were about 40 years old and have always done a boy's weekend once a year. That year was a weekend in Miami golfing Doral. They were a ton of fun and I ended up having dinner with them and drinking till the wee hours. I admired their loyalty to one another and this story reminded me of those guys.
